

Eutectic thermal equilibrium
diagrams.
As can be seen from the drawing below these diagrams are built up in
the same way as the solid solution diagrams i.e. with the use of cooling
curves but there are of course differences between these thermal diagrams
and the solid solution thermal equilibrium diagrams, the reason for this
is of course due to the fact that in eutectic alloys the metals are only
totally soluble in each other in the liquid state.
