My investigation into the nature of Spatial Intelligence and the development of a multimedia tutorial system were necessary during the completion of my final year project at the University of Limerick. Completed under the supervision of Mr. Bill Gaughran from the Department of Operations Engineering, this project is part fulfilment of the requirements for the Bachelor in Materials and Construction Education offered at The University of Limerick.
The Official Title of this research and development project is: To investigate the effectiveness of 3D computer modelling in the development of visualisation skills
It's Objectives include: 1. Definition of Cognitive Skills to be developed. 2. To design a strategy for developing 3D visualisation 3. To apply this through CAD and /or multimedia as a tutorial intervention. 4. To test the effectiveness of the strategy.
