Introduction
The Graduate Diploma in Education (Music) is a one-year, full-time initial teacher education programme specially designed to meet the needs of graduates who wish to become teachers of music in secondary schools.
Holders of the Graduate Diploma will be equipped to teach Music at both senior and junior cycles and will be eligible for inclusion on the open register of the Registration Council for Secondary Teachers. Pedagogy is also available in a second subject (a modern language or mathematics).
