Welcome to Blas 2009!
Blas International Summer School of Irish Traditional Music and Dance is an internationally accredited summer school hosted annually by the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance and set on the magnificent campus at the University of Limerick, Ireland. In it's 13th year, Blas 2009 will run from Monday June 22 through Friday July 3.
Blas follows the ethos of the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance where practical performance skills in music and dance are given equal footing with the academic study of the tradition. This ethos permeates the Blas programme structure and design. Click 'ethos' to learn more about our programme.

Scoil Samhraidh Idirnáisiúnta sa Cheol agus Rince Tradisiúnta ag Acadamh Domhanda Ceoil agus Rince na hÉireann, Ollscoil Luimigh.
Tionólfar Scoil Samhraidh Blas in Acadamh Domhanda Ceoil agus Rince na hÉireann, Ollscoil Luimnigh don 13ú uair i mbliana. Mar is gnách, beidh ceoltóirí, rinceoirí agus amhránaithe den scoth páirteach ann mar oidí agus mar aíonna. Beidh ranganna ceoil agus rince ár ndóigh, ach thairis sin beidh iliomad imeachtaí breise ar nós léachtanna, seisiúin, oícheanta caidrimh agus ceolchoirmeacha ar fhéilire na coicíse. Ranganna beaga a bheidh ag na teagascóirí ar fad. Beidh aitheantas acadúil ar fáil dóibh siúd a bhfuil sin de dhíth orthu toisc gur cúrsa creidiúnaithe é Blas. Soláthrófar lóistín den scoth in árasáin Dhroim Rua ar champas na hOllscoile do rannpháirtithe na Scoile.
