WAVE ENERGY RESEARCH TEAM

• The aim of Wave Energy Research Team is to develop turbine  technology for the Wave Energy Power Plants for Ireland, Europe and the world market.  The Wave Energy Research Team brings together the expertise of staff within the College of Engineering at the University of Limerick, who are involved in the area of computational Fluid Dynamics, Computer Aided Engineering, Experimental Analysis, Mechanical Design, Concurrent Engineering, and Stress Analysis.  Much of this research takes place within three departments - the Department of Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering (M&AE), the Department of Manufacturing & Operations Engineering - (M&OE) and Department of Mathematics & Statistics (M&S).

       The Wave Energy Team also brings together international expertise and collaboration from:
