UL 40, the Irish Chamber Orchestra and the Irish World Academy present: Music Factory Family Fun Day!

As part of the University of Limerick’s 40^th Anniversary celebrations, Music Factory Family Fun Day offers the chance for children and families to enjoy and experience a wealth of exciting activities on campus in UL.

The Irish Chamber Orchestra offers a variety of workshops including dance, drama, art, and drumming.  ‘Meet the Musician’ sessions with a string quartet from the Irish Chamber Orchestra are a highlight on the day. Parents can join their children for lunch in the Tower Theatre for our ‘open-mic’ session, when both children and tutors will share their party-pieces with everyone. Family and friends are invited to join us for our ‘Big Sing’ (3.30pm) when Kathleen Turner, ICO Education Officer will teach songs and games from around the world. Don’t miss this very special event.

Music Factory Family Fun Day is a free event, sponsored by UL40 and is open to children aged between 5 – 12 years.

The state-of-the-art facility at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance provides the main hub for this very special event.
