UL Volunteers sought to climb Carrauntoohil for Concern as part of the UL 40 Celebrations
By way of introduction, I am undertaking a concern challenge in November to raise much-needed funds for HIV and Educational Programmes in Uganda. The challenge is pretty tough and requires that I train intensively. In order to help raise the target funds, Concern is organising a mini-challenge to encourage friends and colleagues to help out but also to undertake a mini-personal-challenge. All funds raised by volunteers will go directly to Concern’s work in Uganda.
The Plan
There are already 17 hardy UL volunteers signed up (staff, students and Nexus startups) so I am looking to bring the total of UL climbers to 40, to celebrate UL 40.
There will be a photo at the bottom and one at the top for those that make it up J.
UL have kindly agreed to provide a flag and transportation from UL to Carrantuohil. Concern will have guides to take us safely up and down.
