1. Certificate in Science & Engineering
(Undergraduate NFQ 8 54ECTS) (On-Campus / Distance Learning)
Course Overview - This unique undergraduate certificate is designed to re-train and up-skill participants in the area of science & engineering. Participants will be able to build on their previous third level qualification or develop skills in a new specialist field. Choosing one from 15 specialist optional streams available will give the participant with graduate level exposure and experience in areas identified as having key skills shortages currently in Ireland. The content contains the formative knowledge of the field, latest thinking and application; and the inclusion of an industrial learning project will enable participants obtain unique exposure to the practical nature of their chosen area prior to re-entering the labour market. 2. Specialist Diploma – Lean Systems
(Postgraduate NFQ 9 36ECTS) (On-line / Distance Learning)
The postgraduate diploma will provide education and practical application to a Black Belt level in Lean. The course will enable participants to develop participants' practical lean improvement skills through the application of Lean principles to drive improvement with measurable results. A company-based project will form a key element of the programme, ensuring the integration of the various concepts in a practical setting. The project will provide participants with a practical application of Lean tools and techniques within their project organisation.
