Adina Preda, BA (Bucharest), MA (Econ.) & PhD (University of Manchester) is a Lecturer in Political Theory. Before coming to Limerick, she held positions at the University of Montreal, at the Hoover Chair, Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium and at University College Dublin. She continues to be associated with the Montreal Consortium for Health Equity Research (MHERC). 

She has published articles on rights, especially group rights (Journal of Moral Philosophy, Political Studies) and the human right to health. Apart from rights, she is working on issues of global and distributive justice, especially luck egalitarianism, and justice in health.
