International Day Against Racism, March 21st

- Wed, March 21, 2012 - 12:34

March 21st is International Day Against Racism, a day when the people across the globe show their opposition to racism. This annual event was declared as a memorial by the United Nations in response to the murder of 69 anti-apartheid demonstrators in Sharpeville, South Africa, in 1960. All this week is European Week Against Racism.

Help us make a difference this European Week by joining us in our call on the Minister for Justice to RECOGNISE RACIST CRIME in Irish Law. Sign the petition online. Racist violence and crime accounts for 75% of racist incidents reported to NGOs in 2011. Yet the legal system fails victims consistently.

E-mail, SHARE, TWEET ... get the word out! Thank you. Enjoy EWAR 2012, 17-25 March!
