Sarah graduated with a BA in History, Politics Sociology and Social Studies (HPSS) from the University of Limerick in 2009. After obtaining a Masters at the University of Birmingham in Russian and East European Studies she decided to return to the University of Limerick to commence a PhD under the supervision of Dr Neil Robinson. Sarah is researching the dissertation topic entitled ' 'Power Exchange': Energy security discourse and the development of the Russian and European electricity industries'.
