Reza Niknam graduated with a BA in Political Science from  Shahid Beheshti University (http://www.sbu.ac.ir/) and  MA in  Diplomacy& International Organizations  from School of International Relations in Iran (http://www.sir.ac.ir/).
Reza is currently a Ph. D. student of the Department of Politics and Public Administration in the University of Limerick, Ireland. Dr. Rachel Ibreck is the supervisor of Reza's Ph.D. study, and Dr. Owen Worth is the co-supervisor.
His research interests include the United States Foreign Policy, Human Rights in the Middle East, International Relations and International Peace and Security with the focus of the post 9/11.
