Multi-agency collaboration in local governance: partnership or pragmatism?

(2012) PhD Thesis Abstract:

Title: Multi-agency collaboration in local governance: partnership or pragmatism?

This research explores multi-agency collaboration as a governance tool for public policy development and delivery and as a mechanism for improving services for service users.  The research is conducted in the case study tradition, evaluating, through a theory of change approach, a multi-agency partnership involved in community safety on social housing estates in an urban setting.  The research was commissioned by the Limerick City Community Safety Partnership Ltd. and funded by the Dept. of Environment, Heritage and Local Government.
