The University of Limerick is delighted to learn that the Board of Special Olympics Ireland has just decided to bring the Special Olympics Ireland Games back to Limerick in 2014.  Two years ago the University of Limerick welcomed 1,800 athletes and 500 team and coaching staff to our campus during the very successful 2010 games, as well as hosting 7 of the 13 sports events.  And we look forward to the 2014 Special Olympics Ireland games being bigger, better and an even greater success drawing on the huge volunteer base in Mid West region. www.specialolympics.ie
