Re. RCEPP Research Seminar Series 2010-2011
We are pleased to invite you to a research seminar given by
Professor Do Coyle
on the topic of
"Pupils/Teachers and Tutors as Researchers"
Professor Do Coyle is Professor in Learning Innovation in the School of Education at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. She has particular interests in social and linguistic capital and the role played by language: plurilingual education, language as a learning tool, dialogic learning spaces, classrooms where the medium of instruction is not the first language of learners (e.g. CLIL, immersion and bilingual settings). Her current research is on learner-teacher analysis of learning episodes through the LOCIT process in CLIL classrooms and the co-construction of professional learning networks using virtual and digital tools. Other research interests include sustainable rural communities and technology-enhanced learning, especially visual learning.
