Over 70 Students Graduate from Community Law Programme at UL
Monday, 16th April 2012Over 70 people living and working in local and regional communities were recently awarded Certificates in a community law programme – The Law and You at the University of Limerick (UL).
Run as part of the UL Community Education Series, the programme is one of the many engagement initiatives connecting UL to local, regional and national communities.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, UL President Professor Don Barry said; “The skills gained in this programme can make a significant difference to people’s lives and completion of the programme gives those already on the frontlines in our communities the information they need to advise those who really need help.”
Rose Wrenn, Limerick Citizens Information Service and graduate of the Certificate in Community Law said; “The Limerick Citizens Information Service is really benefiting from this course as all I have learned about the law is being put to good use.”
