19th John Lovett Memorial Lecture
"All changed, changed utterly - new times, new engagements and new solutions: how the employment relationship is changing"
Kieran Mulvey
Chief Executive, Labour Relations Commission
Kieran Mulvey is Chief Executive of the Labour Relations Commission, a position he has held since 1991. He is also Adjunct Professor of Industrial Relations at the National College of Ireland. Kieran was recently appointed chairman Irish Sports Council (ISC) and has served on a number of public bodies including the Independent Radio and Television Commission, the National Economic and Social Council and the Governing Bodies of UCD and DCU. He is a former General Secretary of the Association of Secondary Teachers, Ireland (ASTI) and Irish Federation of University Teachers (IFUT). He has undertaken consulting roles with the EU and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) on matters relating to public management, human resources and industrial relations. He recently chaired the negotiations which led to the Public Service 'Croke Park Agreement'.
A number of Best Student awards will also be made on the night including the John Lovett Memorial Prize for best student on the BBS (Human Resource Management) and the Dermot Foley Memorial Prize for best student on the BA (Human Resource Management).

The Annual John Lovett Memorial Lecture Series is jointly organised by the Department of Personnel & Employment Relations, Kemmy Business School, and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in Ireland. The Series was established in 1993 in memory of John Lovett, former chairman of the CIPD in Ireland (then Institute of Personnel Management), Personnel Director and Trade Union Official.
