Pictured is Patrick Doyle, Cappamore, Co. Limerick who was conferred with a Bachelor of Technology (Education) in Materials and Construction Technology at UL this week.

As part of his final year project Patrick presented a hand-crafted lectern to the University of Limerick which was accepted by UL President, Professor Don Barry. The lectern which reflects UL's Living Bridge in its design was used this week throughout the  8 conferring ceremonies which has seen 2419 students graduate including 56 PhD students.

The lectern will take a place at Plassey House and will be used by visiting dignitaries as well as the President of UL for conferences , exhibitions and launch events.
