"This House Would Intervene" - a debate on the legitimacy of interventions in foreign conflicts such as Syria, Libya, Rwanda, former states of Yugoslavia, etc.
We're delighted to say one of our guest speakers will be the acclaimed journalist Charlie Bird! During his time in RTE he was a war correspondent and reported on both Gulf Wars and the genocide in Rwanda to name a few conflicts he witnessed. His first hand experience should make for an incredibly valuable contribution to what will be an amazing debate.
Other guest speakers include;
- Mr Owen Worth a politics lecturer in UL who specialises in international relations.
- Mr David Reddington an International study abroad student who majors in international relations and is a member of the US army.
- A member of the Peace Studies Department in UL (speaker details to be confirmed)
It should be an interesting debate with unique perspectives so bring all yo\\\' friends, admission is free!
