Duration: One hour for each session
Location: Library large training room, Ireland
Research Professional provides a searchable database of global funding opportunities across all disciplines. All funding opportunities returned by the search tool have been checked by the service provider for eligibility so researchers based in an Irish university should be eligible to apply for any of the funding opportunities listed. Funding Opportunities can be searched by a number of criteria including Discipline, Award Type, Funder, Date or a full text search. The system is set up for automatic access from within the UL campus. In addition, you can create your own account on the system to allow you to access the site from off campus, save searches that you create and also to set e-mail alerts to receive notification of new funding opportunities that meet your search criteria.
There will be two training sessions on Friday the 16th March at 10am and 11.30am in the Large Training Area in the Library, please contact Richard Cotterell if you would like to attend either of these sessions. Please state which session you would like to attend, each session will not last more than an hour. The training will cover all aspects of the system and enable users to create and save their own personalised searches to return funding opportunities most relevant to their own needs.
