The Department of Sociology at the University of Limerick is pleased to announce that it will host a public lecture by Prof. Erik Olin Wright entitled ‘Transforming Capitalism Through Real Utopias.’ These events are part of a broader Irish lecture tour entitled ‘Alternatives for Transformation’ and will take place at 6:30, Monday, March 4th in the Health Sciences Building at UL. Wright has written extensively on class, inequality, poverty, collective action and social transformation. His lecture will have a particular appeal to community workers, activists, and left- wing scholars but will be of strong interest to all citizens in Ireland today interested in inequality and our current crisis of capitalism.
