The University of Limerick is taking part in the global Restart a Heart initiative by offering free Hands for Life CPR training to the local community and students on Wednesday, October 16th at 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm & 3.30 pm at The Pavilion, North Campus, University of Limerick.

Hands for Life is a free community CPR training programme, run by the Irish Heart Foundation and supported by Abbott and ESB Networks.

Register for this free training course now at This is an hour-long course including a practical element of performing CPR on a manikin. Each individual that attends will receive an email after the training that will include a certificate of attendance. Dr Liz Kingston, Lecturer and Course Director with the Department of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Limerick will deliver the training, said; “CPR is a vital skill in the chain of survival and at the University of Limerick. We are proud to provide our local community with Hands for Life CPR training, in addition to other CPR training courses provided throughout the year. We hope by training people in CPR, we will be able to make a difference and help save lives in our University, homes and the local community.”
