to

Location:

Interaction Design Centre, ER1002

Design Jam Limerick is a half-day design session during which people will team up to tackle an engaging user experience challenge: thinking about cultural heritage by integrating digital and material aspects.

Design Jams are being held internationally to promote the idea that technology has to be designed with a concern for positive user experience (for more, see designjams.org).

The event is organized by students Laura Maye and Alan Ryan.

This year’s event follows after Design Jam Limerick 2012, which was the very first event of this kind organized in Ireland at the initiative of Daniel Beere and William Kennedy (at the time students in the final year of the Digital Media Design course at UL).

The local chapter of the Interaction Design Association (IxDA) and the Interaction Design Centre in UL are supporting the event.

Participation is open and free for all (staff, students, members of the public), but you are kindly required to book your place via Eventbrite (http://designjamlimerick13.eventbrite.ie/)
