3 Days
The Strand Hotel, Limerick, Ireland
The University of Limerick are delighted to be hosting the 3rd International Public Health and Palliative Care Conference in association with Milford Care Centre. Death and dying is increasingly recognised as a public health issue and this event builds on two previous conferences the first of which was held in 2009 in Kerala India. The focus is on helping individuals and empowering communities to talk about and deal with issues around death, dying, loss and care.
The conference at the Strand Hotel in Limerick will bring together around 250 delegates from across the world. The programme consists of key note speakers and contributions from the academic and health and social care community in concurrent sessions, symposia and poster presentations. Day three is open to the public and a range of interactive sessions are planned which will bring together the perspectives of health and social care professionals, academics and members of the public. The conference promises to be an enjoyable event which will enhance networks and collaborations. Most importantly the conference will provide a forum to consider the policy, theoretical, research and practical issues around death and dying.
