For professionals who:

  • ­Have a minimum of three years of organisational experience and aspire to or currently hold a management position
  • ­Wish to develop and demonstrate good managerial judgement in the planning, design and delivery of healthcare and personal social services in Ireland
  • ­Hold a Certificate in Health Services Management or equivalent qualification

Participants learn to:

  • Appraise current economic, social and administrative frameworks in healthcare and personal services
  • ­Integrate a broad perspective of the management issues, problems and strategies in health services in Ireland and internationally
  • ­Apply enhanced skills in managing people, resources, projects and information technology, as well as acquired research and communications techniques
  • ­Exercise appropriate managerial judgement in the planning, design and delivery of healthcare and personal social services
  • ­Conduct independent research involving the analysis of management practice within health services
