Changes to Westlaw databases for UL Researchers

Westlaw customers, including University of Limerick users, will be switched over to a new interface for Westlaw UK and International in early November.

The content in Westlaw is not changing nor is there any change to Westlaw.ie but the way people access Westlaw UK & International is changing.

The link you usually use, whether through the library website or from a bookmark or favourite, will, following the interface change, ask you for a username and password. Please use your UL network username and password.

Personalisation features such as alerts that you had created on the existing Westlaw sites will not migrate over to the new platform. You will need to re-establish your alerts and folders etc. within Westlaw so there is an element of housekeeping required which is perhaps an opportunity to update your searches.  Thomson Reuters, the new provider of Westlaw access has created guides covering alerts, annotations, cases, delivery, folders, favourites & historypersonalisation, EU, legislation, news, topics  and how to get started

Contact the library if you encounter any issues accessing Westlaw during or after the transition to the new interface
