Dr. Ita Richardson

Senior Lecturer, Department of Computer Science and Information Systems, Principal Investigator, Lero - the Irish Software Engineering Research Centre

Since joining UL in 1992, Dr. Ita Richardson has supported Women's issues, particularly within Science and Engineering disciplines.  She campaigned for the UL crèche, has received funding towards positive actions for female UL employees, developed courses for women studying Science, Engineering and Technology, and was Principal Investigator on Science Foundation Ireland grants to lead a Gender Audit within UL.  Since March 2012, she has been an Investigator on the EU-funded project FESTA: Female Empowerment in Science and Technology Academia.
