Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility

For over 25 years, Europe has funded the Erasmus programme, which has enabled over three million European students to spend part of their studies in another higher education institution in Europe. Erasmus+ now opens up these opportunities, allowing for mobility from and to other parts of the world.

The University of Limerick has been awarded €262,150 for two Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Projects. This represents 25% of the total funding available to Ireland. These grants will facilitate 64 mobility programmes with 24 institutions in 16 partner countries.

This new strand of the Erasmus+ Programme under Key Action 1 provides staff with the opportunity to train, teach or conduct research in countries outside Europe or host international colleagues at the University of Limerick. It supports students in their studies going outside Europe or coming from outside Europe.

"It opens your mind to other ways of life, costs of living, cultures, climates, the effects of colonisation and most importantly it awakens you to the fact that  the way we do things at home is not the only way of life."
