China Scholarship Council
The China Scholarship Council (CSC) is a Chinese government agency which provides scholarships to students for doctoral studies abroad. In conjunction with the CSC, the University of Limerick will offer five doctoral scholarships and three visiting doctoral scholarships to students in receipt of a CSC Postgraduate Scholarship. Priority will be given to applicants from the University of Limerick’s partner institutions in China.
The following research areas have been identified as priority areas by the CSC:
- Energy and the Environment
- Agriculture
- Manufacturing
- Communication and Information Technology
- Life Sciences
- Space Research
- Marine Science
- Nanotechnology
- Material Science and New Materials
- Humanities and Applied Social Sciences
While the above areas have been identified as priorities, applicants to other research areas will also be considered. Details on the application process to the Chinese Scholarship Council are available at www.csc.edu.cn.
