Full Degree Applicants
Undergraduate candidates must hold an equivalent qualification to the Irish Leaving Certificate or A level qualification (UK system). Postgraduate applicants must hold a qualification that is equivalent to an Irish or UK honours bachelor's degree (NQAI level 8). The degree must be in a discipline relevant to the postgraduate degree sought. To find out if you have the correct qualifications to apply for a programme at UL check the specific requirements for your home country.
Acceptable English Language qualifications include the following:
TOEFL:
- 550 (paper based), 213 (computer based), 80 (internet based)
IELTS:
- Minimum score of 6.5 for Arts, Humanities, Business or Education programmes.*
- Minimum score of 6.0 for Science, Engineering, Informatics or Electronics programmes.*
* with no less than 6 in any one component
