UL students can choose to live on campus in one of the six student villages or off campus in private student accommodation or self-catering houses and apartments.
Please note that early booking is essential to secure your accommodation – whether on or off campus!
On-Campus Accommodation
There are approximately 2,500 rooms available on campus. The student villages are managed by Plassey Campus Centre Ltd and are maintained to a very high standard. Detailed descriptions of the Quigley Residence, Plassey, Kilmurry, Dromroe, Thomond and Cappavilla Villages and booking forms may be found on the Plassey Campus Centre website.

NOTE: Lifelong Learning/Erasmus Students – On-Campus Accommodation
After you have been nominated by your home university for the Lifelong Learning Programme, the International Education Division at UL will send you a booking form for on-campus accommodation. Booking forms must be accompanied by the required booking deposit.
Please note that financial penalties will apply if you book on-campus accommodation for a full academic year and decide to leave after one semester.
Off-Campus Accommodation
The Accommodation Office (Room D-0034) is open Monday to Friday, 11h00-12h30 and 14h30-16h30.
There is a wide variety of accommodation in Castletroy, a residential area within walking distance of the University campus. A list of suitable off-campus housing is available from the Accommodation Office.
Options include private student residences such as Brookfield Hall and Parkview. It is advisable to reserve these residences in advance of your arrival.
Private housing is also available to rent. It is inadvisable to book this type of accommodation without first viewing it. If you intend booking private housing, you need to arrive in Limerick before the semester starts so that you have time to view a number of houses. Students doing this should book into temporary accommodation for at least three days.
A full list of private accommodation is available from the Accommodation Office or from the International Education Office. You can also check the local newspapers – the Limerick Leader and the Limerick Post – for housing advertisements.
