Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment
INTRODUCTION: What is A Risk Assessment?
A Risk assessment is a careful examination of what, in your area, office or other workspace, could cause harm to people. A Risk Assessment Form is laid out in such a way that it helps you to weigh up whether you have taken enough precautions or should do more to prevent harm.
The aim of Risk Assessment is to minimize in a realistic way the chances of people getting hurt or falling ill.
The important thing you need to decide is whether a hazard is significant and whether you have covered it by satisfactory precautions so that the risk is small.
