Entrepreneurship in the Research Context
We are delighted to announce the availability to staff and students of the EPIGEUM eLearning Entrepreneurship Programme. The Entrepreneurship Programme consists of 3 Modules.
Module 1: Entrepreneurship 1 - Are you an Entrepreneur? Module 2: Entrepreneurship 2 - Opportunity Recognition, Creation and Evaluation. Module 3: Entrepreneurship 3 - Resources (People, Teams & Finance)
These interactive on line programmes have been developed by fifteen universities in the UK and Ireland. Used by 50 leading universities these courses give researchers and academics and those considering becoming entrepreneurs the skills they need to enhance their careers.
By going through the courses you will learn: 1) Who owns inventions in academic research facilities 2) The processes by which technologies are transferred from academic research into the commercial realm, entrepreneurial motivation, purpose and goals. 3) Whether entrepreneurs are born or made 4) Whether entrepreneurship is at odds with academic values etc. You will have the opportunity to learn about hypothetical and real-life entrepreneurial situations. You'll also be promoted to assess your own motivation, goals, values and skills. The Entrepreneurship programmes are being sponsored by HR and are therefore available to you free of charge. The readings, short videos, role plays, quizzes and reflective tasks in these modules should help you learn more about your own expectations and interests.

You must register online to gain access, following which an email will be sent by Epigeum confirming that your Username and Password have been activated.
