Experienced faculty members in Higher Education Institutions are catered for by this programme. The one-year, part-time, Diploma course and class size will be limited. The course can be likened to an MBA for academics in that people who are already practitioners with expertise in aspects of their teaching and learning or research can deepen their understanding of their own practice in the company of their peers. A distinctive feature of the course is the summer school incorporating a Writers' Retreat in a location designed to support academic writing through providing an exceptional environment and the facilitation of experts from the University of Strathclyde.
