The Master's course (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering is based in the Department of Mechanical, Aeronautical and Biomedical Engineering with contributions from the Departments of Mathematics and Statistics; Civil Engineering and Materials Science; and Design and Manufacturing Technology. This course will provide training in advanced topics in Mechanical Engineering and was developed in response to the decision of Engineers Ireland that a Master's degree in an engineering discipline will be the minimum educational standard for Chartered Engineer status for students graduating in 2013.
