Overview
The programme aims to provide students with professional teaching education, the necessary knowledge and capabilities for classroom teaching, fundamental educational theory and the ability to cope with the evolution of change.
Graduate Profile
Holders of the Graduate Diploma in Education Music will be equipped to teach music at both senior and junior cycles and will be eligible for inclusion on the open register of the Registration Council for Secondary Teachers.

Entry Requirements
Primary degree (Level 8 - National Qualifications Authority of Ireland) in music or Primary degree in Arts with Music as a major subject. A satisfactory performance at interview. (The interview may include an audition in particular cases).
Garda Clearance is also required for this programme.
