International Entrepreneurship Management Course Director Briga Hynes
Graduates will have developed the specialist knowledge and a practical understanding of the key tasks required to establish, manage and grow a new venture in a challenging international business environment and thus prepare students for careers as entrepreneurs, policy makers in support services or in entrepreneurial management in different types of organisations.
Programme Content
This programme is a one-year full time programme (12months). Students have the option to exit with a Graduate Diploma in International Entrepreneurship Management on completion of Semesters 1 and 2.

Semester 2 Mandatory Modules: Strategic International Venture Growth; Business Consulting; Financial Issues for Small and Medium Enterprises; Human Resource Management for Small & Medium Enterprises; Research Methods Optional Module: Professional Development 2 Electives - Choose 1; Corporate Responsibility; International Economic Issues; Project Management
The entry requirement is a 2.2 honours degree (Level 8). However, applicants who have a 3rd class honours degree with substantial small business related experience as entrepreneurs or as an employee in a small or medium sized firm may be considered in accordance with the University's policy on the recognition of prior learning. These candidates will be required to submit a written portfolio of business learning outcomes with accompanying testimonials. An interview may form part of the selection process for all candidates. Where candidates are non native English language speakers, certified demonstrable achievement in a Standard English Language Competency Test will be required.
English Language Requirements
Applicants whose first language is not English must provide evidence of either prior successful completion of a degree qualification taught through the medium of English or meet one of the criteria below (no longer than two years prior to application):
Acceptable English Language qualifications include the following:
Matriculation examinations from European countries where English is presented as a subject and an acceptable level is achieved
Irish Leaving Certificate English –Ordinary Level Grade D or above
IELTS – Minimum score of 6.5* for Business, Arts, Humanities or Education programmes. Minimum score of 6.0* for Science, Engineering, Informatics or Electronics programmes *with no less than 6 in any one component.
English Test for English and Academic Purposes (ETAPP) – Grade C1
GCE ‘O’ level English Language/GCSE English Language – Grade C or above
University of Cambridge ESOL –Certificate of Proficiency in English - Grade C / Certificate in Advanced English Grade A
