Graduate Profile

Programme Content

3 modules to be completed within one academic year, including one compulsory core module. Students may select 3 modules in one semester if modules are available.

ECTS credits: 30

Student must take either PY5021 Evidence Based Practice or OT5002 Research Methods for Clinical Therapists as their compulsory core module plus 2 other modules of their choice.
In the event of low numbers of registrations on a particular module, your options will be discussed with you by the Course Director.

• To enable the student to adopt an evidence based approach to clinical practice
• To provide the student with an advanced level of skill, knowledge and clinical reasoning that contributes to their practice and service

Every effort will be made to provide a flexible schedule. This may include day, evenings, weekends and/or use of online and distance learning resources. This can be discussed with the Course Director.

Healthcare clinicians with a professionally and academically accredited BSc Hons (or equivalent) in a health profession

English Language Requirements

Applicants whose first language is not English must provide evidence of either prior successful completion of a degree qualification taught through the medium of English or meet one of the criteria below (no longer than  two years prior to application):

Acceptable English Language qualifications include the following:

Matriculation examinations from European countries where English is presented as a subject and an acceptable level is achieved

• Irish Leaving Certificate English –Ordinary Level Grade D or above
• TOEFL – 550 (paper based), 213 (computer based), 80 (internet based)
• IELTS – composite score 7.5 and not less than 7 in any one component.
• English Test for English and Academic Purposes (ETAPP) – Grade C1
• GCE ‘O’ level English Language/GCSE English Language – Grade C or above
• University of Cambridge ESOL –Certificate of Proficiency in English - Grade C / Certificate in Advanced English Grade A
• GCE Examination Boards – Oxford Delegacy of Local Examinations – Grade C / Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate – School Certificate Pass 1-6 / University of London Entrance and School Examinations Council – School Certificate Pass 1-6
