Dr Martine Dennekamp (MSc, PhD) is a Research Fellow with the Centre for Prehospital Research in the Graduate Entry Medical School at the University of Limerick since October 2016. Martine started her research career as a Research Assistant at the University of Aberdeen with the Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine where she was also awarded her PhD in Environmental Medicine. She subsequently worked for the Health Board in Limerick as a Research and Information Officer for the Child and Family support Services. She then worked for eleven years at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia as a Research Fellow and Senior Research Fellow for the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. She has been a chief investigator on 16 grants totalling over 4M dollars.

She currently conducts pre-hospital research and she provides research support to the prehospital community.
