Chloe is a graduate of CIT where she was conferred in 2012 with a BSc. in Applied Biosciences with Biotechnology and subsequently with a BSc. (honours) in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology in 2013. Her PhD thesis is titled “Insights into the human gut microbial eukaryome”, this research primarily focused on characterising the mycobiome of healthy individuals using both culture-dependent and -independent techniques. In 2018 she began working for Dr Marcus Claesson at APC Microbiome Ireland where her research is focused on gastrointestinal diseases such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease. In her spare time, she is completing an MSc. in Clinical trials at UCC.
