NEWS: We are delighted to advise that our submission for the Erasmus+ Key Action 2 ‘Sharing Open educational practices Using Technology For Higher Education’ (SHOUT4HE) has proved successful. This project, led by Cardiff Metropolitan University, sets out to recognize innovative TEL-supported teaching practices in European higher education institutions and share these innovative teaching practices in an online community, while fostering international networking and cooperation between HE teaching staff working in the same disciplines.
Personal and professional digital capacity is one of the main five domains of the National Professional Development Framework (PDF) for all staff who teach in higher education, and is recognised in Broadening Horizons – UL Strategic Plan 2015-2019 (Aim 1.1.5). The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) contributes to this aim through a range of continuous professional development activities aimed to facilitate diverse types of learning around TEL (new learning, consolidating learning, mentoring and leading). In addition, CTL champions teaching, learning and scholarship with a special emphasis on influencing TEL policy in UL through its work in the Technology Enhanced Learning Unit (TELU).
