About this Course

The Certificate in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) programme provides students with the ability to understand and evaluate production and inventory activities within a company's global operations.

Based on the globally recognised body of knowledge in Production and Inventory Management offered by APICS.

The programme comprises Six Taught Modules.

The topics covered are:

  • Demand Management
  • Procurement Management
  • Supplier planning
  • Material requirements planning
  • Capacity planning
  • Sales and operations planning
  • Master scheduling
  • Performance measurements
  • Supplier relationships
  • Quality control
  • Continuous improvement
  • Supply chain business excellence models.

 

Upon completion of the course students will:

 

Increase their functional knowledge of production and inventory management, maximise ROI on the systems and technologies within an organisation

Master the tools needed to effectively manage global supply chain activities

Gain knowledge to apply principles ERP software to cover various critical functions within organisations

Earn customer satisfaction by delivering Lean/Just-in-Time products and services

Enhance their credibility within potential employer organisations, through the skills to create consistency and foster collaboration through best practices, commom terminology and corporate-wide communication.
 

Entry Requirements

Entry to this programme is open to all candidates. There is no minimum educational requirement and applications are assessed by the academic staff involved in the programme to assess the applicant's motivation and ability to complete the programme successfully.

Each application is considered on an individual basis and is assessed by the Selection Panel for the programme.

Educational qualifications, work and life experience, motivation and overall potential to be successful on the programme are considered and evaluated usually, but not always, by means of an interview.

Applicants may be short-listed for interviews, depending on the number of applications received.

It is highly advisable to submit a strong and thorough application in the event that short-listing for interview does take place.

Programme Fees

Standard programme fees are €1,950. This is billed in 2 instalments over the course of the programme.
