For students who are unsure of which science course to select, an attractive option open to them is Science Choice. This programme allows students to take a variety of subjects before deciding to choose a specific course. On entry into the Science Choice programme, 17 different B.Sc. courses will be open to the students.

These are listed as follows;
LM037 B.Sc. Economics and Mathematical Science
LM051 B.Sc. Computer Systems
LM058 B.Sc. Financial Mathematics
LM060 B.Sc. Mathematical Sciences
LM061 B.Sc. Pharmaceutical and Industrial Chemistry
LM063 B.Sc. Production Management
LM064 B.Sc. Industrial Biochemistry
LM065 B.Sc. Applied Physics
LM066 B.Sc. Environmental Science
LM067 B.Sc. Wood Science and Technology
LM068 B.Sc. Food Science and Health
LM080 B.Sc. Electronics
LM083 B.Sc. Mobile Communications and Security
LM086 B.Sc. Health and Safety
LM087 B.Sc. Energy
LM088 B.Sc. Mathematics and Physics

Course Structure

Science Choice offers students a wider exposure to a variety of subjects relating to different areas of Science. Students follow a common first year programme of study and then select one of the above courses at the end of first year (or earlier in some cases) and continue on in the normal way (subject to some restrictions and performance). Therefore, during the first year students will become well-versed in a range of science subjects and therefore can make better choices that suit their particular needs and interests.
