The CPM plans to achieve its mission through the following goals

• providing high quality and relevant postgraduate and post-experience education
• conducting and supervising appropriate applied and strategic research
• becoming the principal centre for the provision of project management training and consultancy services in Ireland
• being the leader in establishing an institutional framework for project management in Ireland
• being staffed with experts in the project management process and the associated modern communication processes
• creating partnerships with organisations to solve problems and enhance people's decision making skills
• maintaining continuous development and innovation in the Centre's activities
