Project Management is of fast growing importance to organisations because it deals effectively with the management of change. Both contemporary and project-based organisations are beginning to realise that the traditional form of management cannot deal with the dynamics and resulting chaos of the modern economic, social and business environment. Project management is a method for organisations to achieve profitability targets, but just as significantly; it is a 'culture' that will assist most people to improve their personal performance.

The Centre for Project Management (CPM) at the Kemmy Business School at UL is the only centre of its type in Ireland that specialises in the provision of education, research and training in this discipline.

MSc in Project and Programme Management

On-Line - 2 Year Part/Time

The MSc in Project and Programme Management is aimed at the experienced project professional looking to advance their career prospects by taking a lead role as Programme Manager with responsibility for achieving sustainable long term benefits through portfolios of projects and programmes. The programme is delivered primarily asynchronously on a blended learning basis via a powerful learning management platform.

Full time taught programme – 1 year

The Centre for Project Management, from its links with professionals in business and industry has identified a need amongst employers for graduates that possess a degree in a specialised discipline and who are capable of immediately engaging in projects at entry level within their chosen field. The M.Sc. in Project Management full time programme is designed to fulfil this need by providing graduates with contemporary project management approaches, developing theories and principles , deepening of knowledge, skills set and ability to critically analyse and engage actively in the development and integration of project management as a way of work within organisations.
