Students from around the world have voted the University of Limerick as providing the best student experience, best student support and warmest welcome. UL achieved multiple firsts in the survey which received input from more than 5000 international students currently studying across Irish universities. The International Student Barometer survey, undertaken by independent group i-Graduate, involved 238 institutions worldwide. 

Across the four surveyed categories of "living", "support", "arrival" and "learning", UL was voted as having the best overall living experience in Ireland and the fifth in the world. 

UL was also voted the most supportive university among international students, who also voted UL’s support services as being the best in Ireland and also scored first out of 238 institutions worldwide in the categories of "social activities", "opportunities to experience Irish culture", "social facilities", "accommodation office", "clubs and societies".
