IFSAM 2012 World Congress

Professor Michael Morley of the Department of Management & Marketing has been voted President-Elect 2011-2012 of the International Federation of the Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM). The IFSAM is an association of National Academies of Management dedicated to the development of management reseach and teaching around thw World. In his role as President-Elect, Professor Morley will host the 11th World Congress of IFSAM at the University of Limerick in June 2012.

Northern Trust joins with Kemmy Business School to honour Outstanding Scholars

April 2012: Forty-six (46) high achieving University of Limerick business and management students were honoured with a KBS/Northern Trust Outstanding Scholar Award at the Annual Kemmy Business School (KBS) 2012 awards ceremony. This is the 8th year of the awards run by the KBS and recognises the most outstanding scholars in the School each year. The students were presented their award Certificates by Dr Philip O’Regan, Dean of the KBS and Clive Bellows, Ireland MD, Northern Trust at a ceremony which was held in the KBS on Friday, 13th April.

President McAleese honours outstanding teachers at National Awards ceremony

Dublin Castle hosted the National Excellence in Teaching Awards where the President of Ireland, Mary McAleese, presented five Awards on behalf of the National Academy for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning.

KBS Undergraduate Students enter the "Dragons' Den"

The Kemmy Business School (KBS) at the University of Limerick welcomed some of Ireland's leading entrepreneurs to form a "Dragons' Den" panel of experts as part of the KBS Undergraduate Enterprise Exhibition which was held on Thursday, 26th November. This event was funded by the UL/Ulster Bank Enablement Fund as well as providing each student group with seed capital.
