Building on her prior practical work experience Briga has developed extensive linkages with national and international development agencies and community groups. This collaboration involves participation in EU funded projects. Recent projects collaborated in include; an evaluation of a partnership approach in devising Enterprise Support programmes to assist individuals from disadvantaged areas to consider self-employment; training the trainers - the design and development of a mentoring training programme and a European Universities' Research project on the promotion of enterprise education at second level.
She was appointed to become a member of the Management Development Council of Ireland (Forfas) which was established to advise Government on the adequacy and relevance of management development provision in Ireland for the SME sector. More recently Briga was invited to become a project evaluator and mentor with Social Entrepreneurs Ireland.
Briga also currently serves on The Limerick City Enterprise Board (Board member); Southill Development Cooperative; Chair Mentoring Advisory Group (Paul Partnership) and Access Campus Board (University of Limerick).
