KBS student nominated for Irish Sports Woman of the Year 2016

Nicole Drought, KBS at UL student, has been nominated for Irish Sports Woman of the Year 2016. Nicole, 21, is a racing driver from Roscrea in Ireland and is currently studying Accounting and Finance at KBS, UL.

Nicole competed in the 2015 Irish Touring Car Championship in a 250bhp Honda Integra, scoring a number of podium finishes in her debut season.

She was also named by Motorsport Ireland as Driver Of The Month in September and was nominated for the Motorsport Ireland/Irish Sports Council Young Year Award- the first female to receive a nomination in the history of the award.

In 2016 Nicole was invited to Le Castellet in France by the Sean Edwards Foundation for a two day test in a 470bhp Porsche GT3 Supercup. Having won at the first race meeting of the year in Mondello Park, she now leads the 2016 Irish Touring Car Championship Production Class at the wheel of her IT Monkey backed Honda Integra.
