Job Seeker Support Programme - Aviation Finance Finuas Network

Through the Aviation Finance Finuas Network, we are delighted to announce an upcoming Job Seeker Support Programme (JSSP) in the area of Aviation Finance at the Kemmy Business School in September 2012.

What is it?

The objectives of the programme are to train a number of unemployed professionals (including recent graduates) in the skills and knowledge needed for entry into the Aviation Finance and Leasing Sector.

Core elements of the 11-day programme are an in-depth introduction to the Aviation Finance and Leasing industry (3 days) and the development of specific knowledge and skills in Aviation Finance. Developed around this core is additional training in the areas of Career Coaching, Marketing, Finance, Project Management, Negotiation Skills & IT Training which will give participants both the knowledge and competence required to support them in moving into the different functions within the sector. The programme will run from Friday 31st August to Monday 17th September, 2012 and will include up to 3 days project work.

Where does it take place?

The training programme will take place at the Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick.

How much does it cost?

This course is 100% fully funded through the Finuas Network for current jobseekers so you don’t have to pay anything.

When does it take place?

The programme will run from Friday 31^st August to Monday 17^th September. The programme content is as follows:

-Career Coaching (Friday 31^st August)

-Finance for Non-Financial Managers (Monday 3^rd September)

-Introduction to Aviation finance & Leasing Sector, Aviation Leasing School - Day 1 (Tuesday 4^th September)

-Aviation Leasing School - Day 2 (Wednesday 5^th September)

-Aviation Leasing School – Day 3 (Thursday 6^th September)

DAY OFF (Friday 7^th September)

-Project Management (Monday 10^th September)

-Project Management (Tuesday 11^th September)

-Marketing (Wednesday 12^th September)

-Negotiation Skills (Thursday 13^th September)

-Intermediate or Advanced Excel (Friday 14^th September)

-Career Coaching & Closing Ceremony (Monday 17^th September)

Eligibility:

We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds. The general eligibility criteria for the programme are as follows:

• Candidates must be in current receipt of Job seekers allowance or benefit.
• Candidates can be a recent Graduate in Business, HR, Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, Marketing, Law, or Accounting.
• Candidates can be an unemployed professional with a number of years' experience in Accountancy, Law, Finance, Business, HR, or Marketing.
